Sweet Black Secrets

There’s nothing I love more than an all black outfit, but sometimes it feels really repetitive when I wear all black, all of the time. An easy way to make each all-black outfit different and intriguing is to incorporate pieces with textures, embellishments, and/or prints.

I don’t really gravitate towards Free People very often because it has more of a bohemian look that I don’t define myself as, but you can find some really great pieces that have a very edgy look to them!

This top seems like a statement piece–and, it is–BUT, it’s actually really versatile if you have a creative mind. I was feeling glamorous, so I paired it with an embellished skirt from Free People, for a night out. One can also wear this lace top casually by layering it under a pair of overalls or even under a cozy sweater. Let the thumb-holes peak through for an extra-detailed look!

Can we also talk about these shoes? I have quite the shoe collection. It’s gotten so extensive that my dad has made comments about all of the Nordstrom boxes he’s been getting sent to his house lately. I can’t help it!

Anyways, out of all of my shoes, I have gotten the most compliments on these studded heels by Steve Madden lately. Their embellished detailing isn’t over the top, but still provides the extra ornament that every stunning outfit requires in order to make it one-of-a-kind.
